Your safari adventure begins at 8 am with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha. We will embark on a 240-kilometer journey to the Serengeti National Park, which will take approximately 6 hours. The Serengeti, meaning "endless plains," spans an impressive 14,763 square kilometers and is home to the renowned Big Five: elephants, rhinos, buffalo, lions, and leopards. Keep an eye out for the graceful impalas as well they are a sight to behold! The Serengeti is particularly famous for its lions and leopards, and the central region, known as Seronera, is teeming with wildlife, especially around the Seronera River. Look out for prides of lions and the distinctive kopjes, large rock formations where animals often find shelter. During our adventure, we will enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst the stunning landscapes. After an exhilarating day of wildlife sightings, you will be treated to a hearty dinner and a restful night, recharging for more incredible experiences to come.

As you journey north, the landscape transitions to rugged terrain, offering abundant wildlife sightings like zebras, gazelles, and buffalo. Midway through, enjoy a picturesque picnic lunch amidst nature, and if time permits, visit the Mara River before returning to your accommodation for dinner and rest. Exciting times await!

The Heritage Mara Camp in Kogatende, located about 20 minutes from the Mara River in the Northern Serengeti zone, offers a fantastic opportunity to witness herds of wildebeest crossing the river. Nestled away from the main road, it provides remote game viewing. Perched on a hill amidst towering evergreen trees, the camp boasts sweeping views of the Northern Serengeti. Open from July to November, it coincides with the wildebeest migration, making it an ideal time to visit.

Day 3

Northern Serengeti National Park

The next day, you have two fantastic options to start your Serengeti adventure: enjoy a late breakfast followed by game drives beginning at 9 AM, complete with a packed lunch, or opt for an early 6 AM game drive to catch the Serengeti waking up. After breakfast, take some time to relax before we head back to Central Serengeti. The journey, which takes about four hours, is filled with opportunities to spot incredible wildlife along the way. As we approach Seronera, you will notice the landscape transitioning back to expansive grasslands perfect for sighting lion prides basking in the sun. We will enjoy our lunch on the move, making the most of every moment in this beautiful setting. After a day rich with exploration and wildlife encounters, you will be treated to a delicious dinner and a restful night's sleep, ready for the adventures that lie ahead.

You will encounter elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, and more as you explore this unique ecosystem. After enjoying a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool, where you can watch these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, we will ascend from the crater and begin our journey back to Arusha. We will arrive around 6 PM, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
